Reformer Pilates Classes

ReformPhysio & Pilates Aberdeen Studio

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is having a moment but it isn’t new. It comes from the original ‘Contrology’ developed by Josef Pilates in the early 20th century.

The Reformer uses springs and pulleys to help strengthen muscles. The machine offers greater variation in exercises, targeting all areas of the body and allowing progression through varying the spring resistance. The pulleys and springs can also offer assistance when maintaining positions.

Our classes

We have been running Reformer Pilates classes in Aberdeen since 2021. With classes limited to 6 participants we ensure you get as much feedback as possible to get the most out of the class. Huge demand for our services has led to us opening our second location in the Westend of Aberdeen. We run a mix of beginners (level 1), intermediate (level 2) and advanced classes.

We also have a Men’s class, to encourage men to start their Pilates journey and Women’s only classes for those women who wish a single sex space to exercise for personal or cultural reasons.

Do I need Pilates experience?

Experience in mat pilates is an advantage when joining a Reformer class but is not an absolute requirement. Only classes specifically designated as Beginners classes are suitable for beginners.

Individual level 1, 2 & 3 Reformer classes can be paid for at £16.50 each with the option to cancel/reschedule 24 hours in advance of the class starting with no charge. This is our most flexible option and we recommend beginners to Reformer use this payment method first to ensure that they are happy before committing to our Reformer class passes.
