Specialist Physiotherapy for the menopause and peri menopause

Following training from Menopause Movement, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist Heather Scott is now bringing a brand new service to our Physiotherapy clinic in Cults, Aberdeen.

Aimed at women who are moving through the peri-menopause/menopause, this appointment will make sure that you are given the right support and information to make the most of this period of change. During this time, changes to lifestyle can significantly improve health and well being.

During a a Menopause MOT we will:

  • Discuss current menopausal symptoms, medical history and detailed information about bladder, bowel and sexual function.

  • Provide an assessment of functional strength, core stability, abdominal and pelvic floor muscle function.

  • Discuss current exercise routine and offer information and support to ensure you are optimising your exercise levels in consideration of your hormonal, bone and cardiac health.

  • Discuss your current dietary and sleep habits along with life stresses in order to support you in identifying areas that could be improved and offer information and ideas on how to do this
