Why Physio Led Pilates?
Pilates was originally created by Josef Pilates in the first world war as a form of Rehabilitation in a Prisoner of War hospital.
Over time, with increased research and knowledge around exercise, health, fitness and rehabilitation Pilates has evolved. Physiotherapists teach a modified version of Pilates which allows us to rehabilitate people from all types of injuries and levels of fitness, from Elite athletes to orthopaedic surgical rehabilitation.

Ailsa Cairns will be teaching these sessions. Ailsa joins us with over 10 years experience as a Physiotherapist working in NHS Grampian.
Ailsa enjoyed Pilates following the birth of her children and subsequently trained as an APPI Pilates instructor.
Outside of work, Ailsa loves all types of exercise and has even completed an Iron man!
